Symphony - RTMP Content Type

Ability to stream directly into Symphony with RTMPTrying to stream a third-party platform directly into Symphony? Don't worry we got you!This is particularly helpful if you have speakers who are more familiar with a different virtual meeting platform and do not need the audience to contribute. Or if you want to be able to have numerous different people join at different times. You need to be sure that the third party you are streaming in from allows live streaming and can accept Custom Streaming URL, Key and the Live Streaming Page URL.
    Configure your Symphony how you would like.
    We recommend testing out as a user and host/moderator so you can see exactly what the attendees (who don't have your power Winking Face ) would see for this.
    The Audio & Video (beta) shouldn't need to be enabled as you are streaming in from a third-party platform and will be getting the A/V from there.
    Enable Add Content then select the RTMP option.
    Select Enable Captions if your livestream platform/production team can add live captions to your stream (we support embedding closed captions in the H.264 video stream using the CEA-608 standard for a single language). Here's how to fill in the related fields:
    Captions Name: The name of the track containing a human-readable description. This value must be unique across all the text type and subtitles text type tracks.
    Example: "English CC"
    Captions Language Code: The language of the closed caption stream. Value must be BCP 47 compliant. (FYI, CEA-608 only supports English, Spanish, French, German, Dutch, and Portuguese, or Italian).
    Example: "en-US"
    Captions Channel: CEA-608 caption channel to read caption data from.
    Required value: "cc1"
    Once you have selected Save Symphony a window containing your RTMP Stream info will appear. You can pull these values back up later by selecting the options (the ellipses button) for the relevant Symphony then selecting RTMP Stream Info.
    Add this Symphony link to the Schedule Item you are wanting it to represent if you have not already.
    You will then navigate to the third party that you are streaming from (Zoom, OBS, Wirecast, etc) and set up the meeting or video you are wanting to stream in. You will take the Stream URL, Stream Key.
    Once you have set that all up, you can go ahead and "Go Live" with the Symphony at any point. The big determining factor here is you will then only have to "Go Live" from the third-party streaming source.
    IE: if you are using Zoom, you can set everything up, you can have your speakers enter the Zoom before the Symphony start time, and then when you are ready for it to start streaming to the Symphony, you will simply select "Live on Custom Live Streaming Service.
    Please note, there will be a standard 10-20 seconds of latency from the third party stream course and it playing back in Symphony to your attendees.
