The Live Feed feature in Cadence allows you to create a social media-like experience within your event while maintaining appropriate content standards. From the Live Feed Menu › Settings section, you can configure options that balance open participation with necessary content controls, ensuring a positive experience that aligns with your organization's guidelines.
When to use
When implementing a social feed for events with diverse attendees
When encouraging participation while maintaining professional standards
When compliance requirements necessitate content oversight
When managing events where sensitive topics may be discussed
Before you start
You must have Event Manager or Administrator permissions to configure Live Feed moderation settings.
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence admin dashboard.
Navigate to your event management page.
Select Live Feed from the left navigation menu.
Click the Settings tab at the top of the page.
Choose your feed structure by selecting either Single Feed or Multiple Feed.
Multiple Feed mode allows you to apply different moderation settings to different feeds, giving you more granular control.
Consider your audience participation approach by checking or unchecking "Disable Audience Participation (Main Feed)".
When audience participation is disabled, only administrators can post content, which provides maximum control but limits engagement.
Determine your moderation level by checking or unchecking "Enable Post Approval (Main Feed)".
If you enable post approval, ensure you have team members assigned to review and approve posts promptly during the event to avoid delays in communication.
Create clear posting guidelines to share with attendees.
Pin a post with your content guidelines at the top of your Live Feed.
Assign moderators to monitor the feed during your event.
Click Save to apply your settings.
Test your configuration by creating sample posts as both an admin and attendee.
Troubleshooting
If approved posts aren't appearing in the Live Feed, verify that you've clicked the "Approve" button rather than just reviewing the content. The Moderation tab will show pending posts until they are explicitly approved.
