Communicate Schedule Changes to Registered Attendees
The Registration Menu in Cadence allows you to manage how attendees are notified when schedule items they've registered for change. When schedule items are modified after attendees have already registered for them, you'll need to communicate these changes to ensure attendees have the most up-to-date information about their selected sessions.
When to use
When you need to change the date, time, or location of a schedule item
When you need to cancel a schedule item that attendees have registered for
When you need to update session content or speaker information
When you need to move attendees to a different session due to capacity changes
Before you start
You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to send notifications about schedule changes.
How to do it
Navigate to your event dashboard in Cadence.
Select "Registration" from the left sidebar menu.
Click the "Schedule" tab at the top of the Registration page.
Make your schedule changes by editing the affected schedule items.
Changes to date, time, or location will not automatically notify registered attendees.
Go to "Notifications" in the left sidebar menu after making schedule changes.
Select "Create" to create a new notification.
Enter a title that clearly indicates this is a schedule change notification.
Compose your message explaining what changed and why.
Include the original and new details (date, time, location) to help attendees understand the change.
Select "Specified" in the recipient options.
Choose "Schedule Item" from the dropdown menu.
Select the modified schedule item from the list.
Toggle "Only send to registered attendees" to ON.
This ensures only those affected by the change will receive the notification.
Select your delivery method (email, push notification, or both).
Set the send time to either "Send Now" or schedule for later.
Click "Save" to create the notification.
Click "Send" to distribute the notification to registered attendees.
Troubleshooting
If attendees report not receiving schedule change notifications:
Verify they haven't disabled notifications in their profile settings
Check that the correct schedule item was selected when creating the notification
Confirm the "Only send to registered attendees" option was enabled
