How to understand the different Schedule view types (List View vs. Image List View)
The Schedule settings in Cadence allow you to choose between two display formats for your event schedule: List View and Image List View. This setting controls how schedule items appear to attendees throughout your event platform, affecting both visual presentation and information density. Selecting the right view type can significantly impact how attendees interact with your event schedule.
When to use
When setting up a new event's schedule display options
When optimizing schedule display for events with many schedule items
When choosing between visual appeal and information density
When planning events with over 100 schedule items
Before you start
You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to access and modify Schedule settings. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
Navigate to your event dashboard.
Select "Schedule" from the left sidebar menu.
Click on "Settings" in the Schedule submenu.
Locate the "Schedule View" dropdown in the settings panel.
Select your preferred view option:
List View: Text-only format showing more items at once
Image List View: Default view with imagery to enhance visual appeal
Consider switching to List View for events with 100+ schedule items for better readability.
Review your selection based on your event's specific needs.
The Image List View is recommended for most events as it helps create connections with topics, content, speakers, and sponsors through visual elements.
Click "Save" at the bottom of the page to apply your changes.
Changing the view type after your event has launched will immediately affect how all attendees see the schedule.
Troubleshooting
If schedule items appear without images in Image List View:
Verify that images have been uploaded for each schedule item
Check that image files meet the required dimensions and format specifications
Ensure the event license type supports image display (Essential licenses may have limitations)
