How to view the current notification settings for your event

The Notifications settings page in Cadence allows you to review and configure how attendees receive automated alerts for your event. From this central location, you can check which notification types are enabled and how they're configured, ensuring your communication strategy works effectively for schedule reminders, Live Feed posts, and messaging channels.

You must have Admin or Event Manager permissions to access notification settings.

How to do it

    Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
    Navigate to your event dashboard.
    Select "Notifications" from the left sidebar menu.
    Click the "Settings" tab at the top of the page.
    Review the "Schedule Reminders" setting to see if it's enabled.
When enabled, attendees receive push notifications before their scheduled sessions begin.
    Check the reminder time dropdown to see how many minutes before sessions attendees are notified.
The default is 5 minutes, but this can be adjusted up to 60 minutes depending on your venue size and attendee needs.
    Verify the "Live Feed" notification setting status.
When enabled, attendees receive notifications for all Live Feed posts, which may result in a high volume of notifications during active events.
    Confirm the "Messaging Channels" notification setting status.
This setting only affects public channel notifications. Private channel members always receive notifications regardless of this setting.
    Exit the page without making changes if you only needed to view the settings.

Troubleshooting

If you need to verify whether notifications are working properly:
  • Check that the appropriate settings are enabled
  • Ensure attendees have the latest version of the Cadence mobile app (v2.7.404 for Android or v2.7.393 for iOS)
  • Confirm attendees haven't disabled push notifications on their devices
