The Companies feature in Cadence allows you to control which attendees can see specific companies in your event. Through the Companies Menu › Emails section, you can configure visibility settings to ensure companies are only visible to appropriate attendee groups, creating a personalized experience based on attendance type or group membership.
When to use
When showcasing different sponsors to specific attendee segments
When creating role-specific company visibility
When organizing companies for different departments or regions
When controlling access to certain company profiles
You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to modify company visibility settings. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
Navigate to your event dashboard.
Click on "Companies" in the left sidebar menu.
Select "Emails" from the submenu.
Click on the "Options" tab at the top of the page.
The Options tab contains all visibility and configuration settings for the Companies feature.
Locate the company you want to modify in the list.
Click the edit (pencil) icon next to the company.
Find the "Visible to" section in the company settings.
Select one of the following visibility options:
All (everyone can see it)
Specified (only visible to selected groups or attendance types)
If choosing "Specified", select which groups or attendance types should see this company.
If you select both groups and attendance types with "Specified" visibility, users must meet BOTH criteria to see the company.
Consider whether the company should be visible to in-person attendees, virtual attendees, or both.
Click "Save" to apply your visibility settings.
Verify your changes by checking the company list, which will display visibility indicators next to each company.
Repeat for other companies that need specific visibility settings.
Troubleshooting
If companies are not appearing for certain attendees:
Verify the attendee belongs to the specified group or attendance type
Check that the company is published and not in draft status
Confirm the attendee has completed the onboarding process if visibility is tied to profile information
