Align Your Registration Form with Data Privacy Requirements

The Registration Form feature in Cadence allows you to collect information from attendees while ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations. Through the Registration Menu › Form section, you can configure your form to meet legal requirements like GDPR, CCPA, and other regional privacy laws.

When to use

  • When collecting personal information during registration
  • When operating events with international attendees subject to different privacy laws
  • When storing attendee data for future use or analysis
  • When sharing attendee information with third parties or sponsors

Before you start

You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to modify registration form settings.

How to do it

    Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
    Navigate to your event dashboard.
    Click on "People" in the left sidebar menu.
    Select "Registration" from the submenu.
    Click on the "Form" tab at the top of the page.
    Create a clear privacy statement explaining what data you collect and how it will be used.
Document all personal data fields in your registration form to ensure complete privacy disclosures.
    Add a "Privacy Policy" question using the Text Block question type.
    Insert your privacy statement in the question text field.
    Include explicit consent checkboxes as required questions.
Failure to obtain proper consent may violate privacy regulations and expose your organization to legal risks.
    Configure data retention settings in your account settings.
    Review all form questions to ensure you're only collecting necessary information.
    Test the complete registration flow to verify privacy notices are clearly visible.
    Click "Save" at the bottom of the page to apply your changes.
