The Leads Matching feature in Cadence helps you connect scanned leads with existing customer profiles in your database. When you navigate to Leads Menu › Matching, you'll see potential matches between leads captured at your event and customers already in your system, allowing you to confirm accurate matches and maintain a clean customer database.
When to use
When reviewing leads captured at conferences or trade shows
When connecting scanned leads with existing customer records
When creating engagement records from lead interactions
When organizing post-event follow-up with matched customers
Customer Matching must be enabled in your event settings to access this feature.
How to do it
Navigate to your event dashboard.
Select "Leads" from the left sidebar navigation.
Click on the "Matching" tab at the top of the Leads interface.
Locate a lead with "Ready for Match" status in the list.
Use the filter options in the top-right corner to show only leads with "Ready for Match" status.
Click on the lead to view potential customer matches.
Review each potential match by comparing lead information with existing customer profiles.
Check the confidence score displayed with each match.
Higher confidence scores indicate a stronger likelihood that the lead and customer profile represent the same person.
Click "View Profile" to see more details about a potential match before confirming.
Select the correct match by clicking "Confirm Match" button.
If Customer Matching is enabled with an Ensemble form selected, confirming a match will automatically create an engagement record.
Click "No Match" if none of the suggested profiles match your lead.
Return to the Matching list to continue reviewing other potential matches.
Troubleshooting
If no leads appear in the Matching tab:
Verify that Customer Matching is enabled in your Lead settings
Confirm that leads have been scanned at your event
Check that the matching process has had time to complete (may take a few minutes after scanning)
