How to display or hide the scroll bar on Home tiles (Web Only)
The scroll bar option for Home tiles allows attendees to more easily navigate through content when there are multiple tiles that extend beyond the visible area of the screen. This setting is available in the Home Menu's Settings tab and only affects the web version of your event, not the mobile app.
When to use
When you have multiple Home tiles that extend beyond the visible screen area
When you want to improve accessibility for users who may have difficulty with touch-based scrolling
When using layouts with many tiles, especially in Single Column or Two Columns configurations
When you want to provide a visual indication that more content is available
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
Navigate to your event dashboard.
Click on "Home" in the left sidebar menu.
Select the "Settings" tab at the top of the page.
Locate the "Display Scroll bar on Home Tiles (Web Only)" checkbox in the settings panel.
This setting only affects the web version of your event, not the mobile app.
Check the box to display the scroll bar on Home tiles.
The scroll bar is particularly helpful for users who rely on traditional mouse navigation rather than touch gestures or scroll wheels.
Uncheck the box if you prefer a cleaner look without the scroll bar.
Without a visible scroll bar, some users may not realize there is additional content available to scroll to.
Click "Save" at the bottom of the page to apply your changes.
Troubleshooting
If users report difficulty navigating your Home page content, consider enabling the scroll bar option and also exploring the new scrolling indication arrows feature, which provides visual cues that more content is available.
