How to use the appointment check-in process
The appointment check-in process in Cadence allows you to track attendance at meetings by marking participants as present when they arrive. Through the Appointments Menu › Settings section, you can configure various check-in options including standard attendee check-in, badge scanning, and signature capture to meet your event's specific attendance tracking requirements.
When to use
When tracking attendance at scheduled appointments
When compliance requires documentation of who attended meetings
When you need to verify participation for reporting purposes
When managing multiple check-in methods for different appointment types
Before you start
You must have System Administrator, Event Manager, or Event Scheduler permissions to use appointment check-in features. The check-in feature must be enabled in your event settings.
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence account.
Navigate to your event dashboard.
Click on "Appointments" in the left sidebar menu.
Select an existing appointment or create a new one.
Locate the attendee list in the appointment details view.
You can also click "Full Screen View" for a better visual experience with larger attendee lists.
Find the attendee you want to check in.
Names are listed alphabetically by first name, with customers appearing before internal attendees.
Click the Check-In button (✓) next to the attendee's name.
If there are more than five attendees, use the Search field to locate specific attendees quickly.
Confirm the check-in when prompted.
Observe the attendee's status change to "Checked In" with a visual indicator.
Review the check-in timestamp that appears next to the attendee's name.
If Legal Disclaimer or Signature Capture is enabled, additional steps will be required to complete the check-in process.
Repeat for each attendee as they arrive at the appointment.
Access check-in options by clicking the down arrow next to a checked-in attendee to:
Undo a check-in
Mark an attendee as "No Show"
Troubleshooting
