The Schedule Labels section in Cadence allows you to customize key terminology used throughout your event's schedule interface to match industry-specific language. Located in the Schedule Menu › Labels area, this feature helps create a more intuitive experience for attendees by replacing generic terms like "Track," "Location," and "Speaker" with terminology that better aligns with your industry's standard vocabulary.
When to use
When creating events for specialized industries with unique terminology
When standardizing language to match your organization's communication style
When localizing your event for different regions or markets
When making your event interface more intuitive for your specific audience
Before you start
You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to modify schedule labels. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence account.
Navigate to your event dashboard.
Click on "Schedule" in the left sidebar menu.
Select "Labels" from the submenu that appears.
Review your industry's common terminology for event categorization.
Research how similar events in your industry label their schedule components before making changes.
Toggle the switch next to "Override Track label" to enable customization.
Enter your industry-specific term for "Track" in the text field.
For healthcare events, consider terms like "Therapeutic Area" or "Clinical Pathway." For education, "Learning Path" or "Curriculum" might be more appropriate.
Toggle the switch next to "Override Location label" to enable customization.
Enter your industry-specific term for "Location" in the text field.
For virtual events, consider "Virtual Room" or "Digital Space." For sports events, "Field" or "Court" might be more appropriate.
Toggle the switch next to "Override Speaker label" to enable customization.
Enter your industry-specific term for "Speaker" in the text field.
For medical events, consider "Faculty" or "Presenter." For sports events, "Athlete" or "Player" might be more appropriate.
Click "Save" to apply your changes.
Custom labels will appear on web and mobile apps but will continue to show the original labels in the admin interface.
Preview your event to verify how the custom labels appear to attendees.
Document your custom label choices for future events to maintain consistency.
Troubleshooting
If your custom labels aren't appearing in the mobile app, ensure you're using the latest version of the Cadence app (v2.7.387 for iOS or v2.7.387 for Android) and try refreshing your event data.
