Audit Custom Labels Across Multiple Events

The Schedule Labels section in Cadence allows you to review and standardize terminology used across your organization's events. Located in the Schedule Menu › Labels area, this feature helps you identify inconsistencies in custom labels for Track, Location, and Speaker fields, ensuring a consistent experience for attendees across all your events.

When to use

  • When standardizing terminology across your organization's events
  • When preparing for a rebranding initiative
  • When merging events from different teams or departments
  • When ensuring accessibility and clarity in navigation across events

Before you start

You must have System Administrator permissions to audit labels across multiple events. Event Managers can only view labels for events they manage.

How to do it

Log in to your Cadence account.
Navigate to your Account Management dashboard.
Create a spreadsheet or document to track your findings.
Include columns for Event Name, Event ID, Track Label, Location Label, Speaker Label, and Notes.
Access your first event to audit.
Click on "Schedule" in the left sidebar menu.
Select "Labels" from the submenu that appears.
Record the current label customizations in your tracking document.
Note whether each label is using the default term or has been customized.
Repeat steps 4-7 for each event in your organization.
Review your completed audit document to identify inconsistencies.
Pay special attention to similar events that use different terminology for the same concepts.
Develop a standardization plan based on your findings.
Prioritize which events need label updates.
Update labels in each event by navigating to Schedule › Labels.
Toggle the switches for the labels you want to standardize.
Enter your organization's preferred terminology in each enabled field.
Click "Save" to apply your changes.
Custom labels will appear on web and mobile apps but will continue to show the original labels in the admin interface.
Document your standardized terminology for future reference.

Troubleshooting

If your custom labels aren't appearing in the mobile app after standardization, ensure you're using the latest version of the Cadence app (v2.7.387 for iOS or v2.7.404 for Android) and try refreshing your event data.
