The lead scan summary email feature in Cadence allows you to automatically send daily recap emails to lead owners containing information about leads captured during an event. This article explains how to enable and configure these summary emails through the Leads settings in your event's admin interface.
When to use
When you want lead owners to receive daily summaries of captured leads
When you need to track lead scanning activity across your team
When you want to ensure proper follow-up with scanned leads
When managing large events with multiple team members scanning leads
This feature requires System Administrator permissions to configure.
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
Navigate to your event dashboard.
Select "Leads" from the left sidebar navigation.
Click on "Settings" from the Leads submenu.
Scroll down to the "Options" section.
Check the box for "Enable Lead Scan Summary Email".
When enabled, the lead owner will receive a daily lead scan summary email for all captured leads.
Configure the email settings that appear after enabling:
Email From (Display Name)
Template Subject
Template Body Text
Customize the "Email From" field with your preferred sender name.
Using your organization or event name in the "Email From" field helps recipients quickly identify the source of the email.
Enter a subject line for the summary emails.
Review the default template body text, which includes:
Greeting with lead owner's first name
Summary of scans captured that day
Information about who captured each lead
Any notes taken during scanning
Lead scan information (Lead Name, Email, Company, and Notes) are not editable but will be included in the email template by default.
Click "Save" at the bottom of the page to apply your changes.
Troubleshooting
If summary emails are not being delivered:
Verify the lead owner has a valid email address in their profile
Check that the event time zone is correctly set, as emails are sent at 7pm in the event's time zone
Ensure your email domain is not blocking messages from the Cadence platform
