Adding content to a Collection in Cadence allows you to populate your resource folders with materials that attendees can access. From the Collections Menu › Settings area, you can upload files, add links, or select from existing materials to build comprehensive resource libraries for your event participants.
When to use
When sharing presentation materials with attendees
When organizing event resources by topic or category
When creating resource libraries for different attendee groups
When you need to provide access to important documents or media
Before you start
You must have Admin or Event Manager permissions to add content to collections.
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
Navigate to your event dashboard.
Select "Collections" from the left sidebar navigation.
If Collections doesn't appear in your navigation, you may need to add it as a menu item first through Event Setup > Menu.
Click on the collection you want to add content to.
If you need to create a new collection first, click the "+" button in the top right corner of the Collections page.
Click the "+" button to add materials to your collection.
Select the type of content you want to add:
Upload a file (PDF, PowerPoint, etc.)
Add a link (website, video, etc.)
Select from existing materials
Complete the required fields for your selected content type:
For files: Upload your document and add a title and description
For links: Enter the URL and add a title and description
For existing materials: Select from the materials library
Add categories to your content if you want to organize it further.
Categories make it easier for attendees to filter and find specific content types within a collection.
Set visibility for the content item if it differs from the collection's default settings.
Click "Save" to add the material to your collection.
Repeat steps 5-10 to add more materials as needed.
Preview your collection by clicking on "View" to see how it will appear to attendees.
Troubleshooting
If your content fails to upload, check that the file size is under the maximum limit (typically 100MB) and that you're using a supported file format. For video content that will be viewed in onboarding, ensure you're uploading the file directly rather than using embedded code or external URLs.
