The Live Feed feature in Cadence allows you to customize how feed labels appear in your event's navigation menu. From the Live Feed Menu › Settings section, you can rename both the main Live Feed menu item and individual feeds to better reflect your event's terminology and improve attendee navigation.
When to use
When you need more descriptive feed names for your event
When creating multiple topic-specific feeds that require clear labeling
When you want to use industry-specific terminology for your social feeds
When organizing feeds by department, region, or content type
You must have Event Manager or Administrator permissions to customize Live Feed labels.
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence admin dashboard.
Navigate to your event management page.
Select Live Feed from the left navigation menu.
Click the Settings tab at the top of the page.
Select "Multiple Feed" as your feed structure option.
Multiple Feed mode allows you to create and customize labels for separate topic-specific feeds.
Click Save to apply the Multiple Feed setting.
Navigate to the "Menu" section in your event's admin panel.
Locate the Live Feed menu item in the list.
Click the Edit icon next to the Live Feed menu item.
Enter a custom label in the "Menu Label" field to rename the main Live Feed menu item.
This changes how the Live Feed appears in the main navigation menu for all attendees.
Click Save to apply your custom label.
Return to the Live Feed section.
Click the Feed tab to view your feeds.
Select an existing feed or create a new one by clicking the "+" button.
Enter a descriptive name for your feed that clearly indicates its purpose.
Feed names should be concise (under 60 characters) to display properly on all devices.
Configure visibility settings for the feed if needed.
Click Save to apply your custom feed name.
Verify your changes by previewing your event as an attendee would see it.
Troubleshooting
If your custom labels aren't appearing correctly in the menu, ensure you've saved changes in both the Menu section and the Live Feed section. Sometimes changes require clearing your browser cache to appear properly.
