Reset Onboarding for Attendees
The Reset Onboarding feature in Cadence allows you to clear an attendee's onboarding progress, requiring them to complete the process again when they next access your event. This is useful when you've updated onboarding fields, need to collect new information, or when an attendee encounters issues completing their initial onboarding.
When to use
When you've updated custom fields or onboarding requirements
When testing changes to your onboarding flow
When an attendee is unable to complete onboarding due to technical issues
When you need attendees to review updated terms and conditions
You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to reset onboarding for attendees.
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
Navigate to your event dashboard.
Click on "Event Setup" in the left sidebar menu.
Select "Onboarding" from the submenu.
Click the "Reset Onboarding" tab at the top of the page.
You can also access this directly from the main Onboarding menu by clicking the "Reset" tab.
Search for the attendee by entering their name or email in the search field.
Use the filter options to narrow down your search by completion status or attendee type.
Locate the attendee in the search results.
Click the "Reset" button next to the attendee's name.
This action cannot be undone. The attendee will need to complete the entire onboarding process again.
Confirm the reset when prompted.
Notify the attendee that they will need to complete onboarding again when they next access the event.
The attendee will automatically be prompted to complete onboarding the next time they log in to the event.
Troubleshooting
If an attendee continues to have issues completing onboarding after a reset:
Verify that all required custom fields are properly configured
Check that the onboarding flow is enabled in the Settings tab
Ensure custom fields don't contain validation errors that prevent completion
