Address Common Notification Delivery Issues
The Notifications Settings page in Cadence allows you to troubleshoot and resolve delivery issues that may prevent attendees from receiving important communications. When notifications aren't reaching your attendees as expected, following a systematic approach can help identify and fix the most common problems, ensuring your event communications reach their intended audience.
How to do it
Verify notification settings in your event dashboard.
Navigate to the Notifications section in the left sidebar menu.
Click the "Settings" tab at the top of the page.
Confirm that relevant notification types are enabled for your event.
Schedule Reminders, Live Feed, and Messaging Channels each have separate toggle settings that must be enabled for those notification types to function.
Check that Schedule Reminders timing is appropriate for your venue size.
Larger venues may require longer reminder times (25-60 minutes) to allow attendees sufficient travel time between sessions.
Create a test notification by clicking the "+" button in the Notifications list view.
Send the test notification to yourself or a small test group.
Including too many recipients in test notifications can cause confusion among attendees.
Verify mobile app versions of affected users.
Confirm attendees are using the latest Cadence app version (v2.7.404 for Android or v2.7.393 for iOS).
Ask attendees to check device notification settings for the Cadence app.
Instruct users to verify email spam folders if email notifications aren't being received.
Review notification delivery statistics by clicking on sent notifications in the list view.
Troubleshooting
If notifications still aren't being delivered:
Verify that attendees haven't blocked or unsubscribed from Cadence notifications
Check that your organization's IT department hasn't blocked Cadence notification domains
For email notifications, ensure recipients' email addresses are correct and active
