How to navigate between different Onboarding configuration options

The Onboarding menu in Cadence allows you to configure what information attendees will provide when first accessing your event. From the Onboarding section, you can navigate between different configuration tabs to create a complete onboarding experience, including custom fields, welcome messages, terms and conditions, and video content.

Before you start

You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to modify onboarding settings.

How to do it

Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
    Navigate to your event dashboard.
Click on "Onboarding" in the left sidebar menu.
Review the tabs at the top of the page:
  • Fields: Configure custom profile information
  • Settings: Enable/disable onboarding and set sequence
  • Welcome: Create a welcome message
  • Terms & Conditions: Add legal agreements
  • Video: Include an introductory video
Select the "Fields" tab to manage custom field settings.
Check the "Enable Event-Level Custom Fields" box to allow attendees to fill in event-specific profile information.
You can click the "here" link to set up or edit your event-level custom fields if needed.
Choose whether to include "All fields" or "Selected fields" in the onboarding process.
Select specific fields if you chose the "Selected fields" option.
Click "Save" to apply your changes.
Navigate to the "Settings" tab to enable/disable onboarding and adjust the sequence.
Click the "Welcome" tab to create or edit your welcome message.
Select the "Terms & Conditions" tab to add legal agreements if required.
Visit the "Video" tab to include an introductory video for attendees.
Return to any tab at any time by clicking its name at the top of the page.
Save changes on each tab before moving to another tab.

Troubleshooting

If attendees report being unable to complete onboarding, check that:
  • All required custom fields are properly configured
  • The onboarding flow is enabled in the Settings tab
  • Custom fields don't contain validation errors
