The Home page layout options in Cadence allow you to customize how content appears to your event attendees. Through the Home Menu's Settings tab, you can adjust columns, alignment, visual elements, and interactive features to create an engaging landing page that effectively showcases your event information while maintaining your brand identity.
When to use
When setting up a new event's Home page
When you need to change the column layout or alignment of Home tiles
When you want to adjust visual elements like overlays or opacity
When configuring interactive features like countdown timers
How to do it
Navigate to your event in the Cadence admin dashboard.
Select "Home" from the left sidebar menu.
Click the "Settings" tab at the top of the page.
Choose a column layout from the "Columns (Web Only)" dropdown:
Single Column: Displays tiles vertically in one column
Two Columns: Arranges tiles in two side-by-side columns
Single Row: Places tiles horizontally in one row
Two Rows: Organizes tiles in two horizontal rows
Column layout settings only affect the web version of your event, not the mobile app.
Select an alignment option from the "Alignment (Web Only)" dropdown:
Left Aligned: Positions tiles along the left side
Centered: Places tiles in the center of the page
Right Aligned: Aligns tiles along the right side
Configure visual elements by checking or unchecking these options:
Remove Home Tile Overlay: Removes the gray overlay on tiles
Display Scroll bar on Home Tiles: Shows a scroll bar for easier navigation
Removing the tile overlay may affect readability if your tile images have varying colors or contrast.
Set up the countdown timer if desired:
Check "Enable Countdown Timer"
Select either "use event start date" or "use custom date time"
Manage header display by checking "Hide event name, date & location display" if you prefer a cleaner look.
Enable Live Video Tile to automatically display Symphony live streams on the Home page.
This feature works best when Symphony is configured with embedded content, video material, or an RTMP stream.
Adjust background opacity for the web Home screen:
Check "Gradient Slider Adjust Home Screen Opacity"
Use the slider to set the opacity percentage (default is 15%)
Click "Save" to apply your changes.
