How to troubleshoot menu visibility problems after disabling
The Integrations menu in Cadence allows you to disable the Events Menu for web and mobile platforms. When these settings don't work as expected, users may experience navigation issues or unexpected menu behavior. This guide helps you identify and resolve common problems that occur after disabling menu visibility options.
Before you start
The Events Menu disabling features are labeled as Non-public Beta and are only available to System Administrators or internal Cadence employees.
How to do it
Verify your current integration settings.
Navigate to your event dashboard.
Click on "Event Setup" in the left sidebar menu.
Select "Integrations" from the submenu.
Confirm that the appropriate menu disabling options are checked.
Check both "Disable Events Menu for Web" and "Disable Events Menu for Mobile" settings to ensure they match your intended configuration.
Save your settings if any changes were made.
Clear your browser cache and cookies.
Menu visibility issues often stem from cached settings that haven't been updated.
Test the menu visibility in an incognito/private browsing window.
Check if the issue persists on different devices or browsers.
Verify that users have the latest version of the mobile app if testing on mobile.
Older versions of the mobile app may not respect the latest menu visibility settings.
Inspect custom menu items to ensure they don't have conflicting visibility settings.
Review any recent changes to menu structure that might affect visibility.
Troubleshooting
If menu visibility problems persist:
Try temporarily re-enabling the Events Menu to reset the configuration
Verify that no custom CSS or JavaScript is interfering with menu display
For mobile issues, have users completely close and restart the app
