How to preview Home page changes before publishing
The Home page preview feature in Cadence allows you to see how your layout changes will appear to attendees before making them live. This helps ensure your Home page design looks professional and functions as expected across different devices. By previewing changes first, you can make adjustments to columns, alignment, and visual elements without affecting the live event experience.
When to use
Before finalizing Home page layout changes
When testing different column arrangements or alignment options
After adding or modifying Home tiles
When adjusting visual elements like overlays or opacity settings
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
Navigate to your event dashboard.
Click on "Home" in the left sidebar menu.
Select the "Settings" tab at the top of the page.
Make your desired changes to the Home page settings:
Choose column layout (Single Column, Two Columns, etc.)
Select alignment option (Left, Centered, Right)
Configure visual elements (overlays, scroll bars)
Set up countdown timer if needed
Adjust opacity settings
Click the "Preview" button in the upper right corner of the page.
The preview opens in a new tab or window, showing exactly how your Home page will appear to attendees.
Test responsiveness by resizing your browser window to see how the layout adapts to different screen sizes.
Use browser developer tools (F12 in most browsers) to simulate mobile devices for a more accurate preview of how your Home page will look on phones and tablets.
Return to the Settings tab and make any necessary adjustments based on what you saw in the preview.
Repeat steps 6-8 until you're satisfied with the appearance.
Click "Save" to apply your changes to the live event.
Unsaved changes will be lost if you navigate away from the Settings page without saving.
Troubleshooting
If the preview doesn't load or appears different from what you expected:
Clear your browser cache and try again
Ensure all Home tiles have appropriate images uploaded
Check that any Symphony live video settings are properly configured if using that feature
