How to Use Onboarding Data for Post-Event Analysis

The Onboarding menu in Cadence collects valuable attendee information during their first interaction with your event. By accessing and analyzing this data from the Onboarding › Fields section after your event concludes, you can gain insights into attendee demographics, interests, and preferences to inform future event planning and measure the effectiveness of your onboarding process.

When to use

  • When evaluating the success of your event based on attendee demographics
  • When planning future events based on attendee profile data
  • When analyzing the effectiveness of your onboarding process
  • When creating targeted marketing for future events based on attendee interests

Before you start

You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to access onboarding data for analysis.

How to do it

Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
    Navigate to your event dashboard.
Select "Onboarding" from the left sidebar menu.
Click on the "Fields" tab at the top of the page.
Review the "Completion Metrics" section at the bottom of the page.
This section shows overall completion rates and identifies where attendees may have abandoned the process.
Export the onboarding data by clicking the "Export Report" button.
Select your preferred format (CSV or Excel).
Navigate to "Reports" in the left sidebar menu.
Select "Final Event Reports" from the submenu.
Choose "Consolidated Attendee Report" from the available reports.
Include onboarding fields in your selection of data points to export.
This allows you to correlate onboarding data with other event participation metrics.
Apply filters to segment your data by specific demographics or responses.
    Generate and download your report.
    Analyze key metrics such as:
  • Completion rates by attendee type
  • Most common responses to interest-based questions
  • Correlation between profile information and event engagement
Compare data across different attendee segments to identify patterns.
Look for connections between specific onboarding responses and higher levels of event engagement.
Create a summary of insights to inform future event planning.

Troubleshooting

If your onboarding data appears incomplete:
  • Verify that all custom fields were properly configured before the event
  • Check that the onboarding process was enabled for the duration of the event
  • Confirm that required fields were clearly marked to ensure completion
