How to view check-in status for event participants

The Event Check-In feature in Cadence allows you to monitor which attendees have checked in to your event. From the Event Check-In menu, you can quickly view attendance status, filter participants by check-in status, and generate reports to track participation across your event.

When to use

  • When monitoring real-time attendance at your event
  • When generating attendance reports for compliance or analytics
  • When following up with attendees who haven't checked in
  • When verifying participation for specific sessions or days
You must have Admin, Event Manager, or Event Scheduler permissions to view check-in status information.

How to do it

    Log in to your Cadence account.
    Navigate to your event dashboard.
    Select "People" from the left sidebar menu.
    Click "Event Check-In" in the submenu.
If you don't see the Event Check-In option, verify that check-in is enabled in your event settings.
    Review the attendance summary cards at the top of the page.
These cards display total registered attendees, checked-in attendees, and the current check-in percentage.
    View the breakdown by attendee type, which shows separate statistics for internal attendees and customers.
    Use filters to refine the attendee list by clicking the filter options above the list.
You can filter to show only checked-in attendees, not checked-in, or all attendees.
    Click on column headers to sort attendees by check-in status or time.
    Export the check-in data by clicking the "Export" button in the upper right corner.
The exported report includes check-in timestamps and can be useful for post-event analysis.
    Monitor real-time updates as attendees continue to check in throughout your event.

Troubleshooting

If check-in status information isn't displaying correctly:
  • Verify that Event Check-In is enabled in Settings
  • Confirm you have the proper permissions (Admin, Event Manager, or Event Scheduler)
  • Try refreshing the page to see the most current data
  • If using the mobile app, ensure you're using the latest version (v2.7.404 for Android or v2.7.393 for iOS)
