How to filter and search for appointments

The Appointments section in Cadence provides powerful filtering and search capabilities to help you quickly locate specific appointments based on various criteria. Whether you need to find appointments by status, date, organizer, or custom fields, the search and filter functions allow you to efficiently manage large numbers of appointments and focus on the meetings that matter most.

When to use

  • When looking for specific appointments in a large event
  • When you need to find appointments with particular characteristics
  • When organizing appointments by status (proposed, pending, confirmed)
  • When generating reports for specific appointment types
You must have System Administrator, Event Manager, or Event Scheduler permissions to access the Appointments filtering features.

How to do it

    Navigate to your event dashboard in Cadence.
    Click "Appointments" in the left sidebar menu.
    Select "All Appointments" or "My Appointments" from the dropdown menu.
    Use the status filter ribbon at the top to quickly filter by appointment status (Total, Proposed, Pending, Confirmed, Declined, or Cancelled).
You can select multiple status filters simultaneously by clicking additional status buttons.
    Enter keywords in the search bar to find appointments by title, organizer, attendee name, or other text content.
    Click the "Refine" button to access advanced filtering options.
    Select filters from the available categories:
  • Date range
  • Time
  • Organizer
  • People (attendees)
  • Location
  • Resources
  • Objectives
  • Topics
  • Custom fields
    Choose specific values for each filter category as needed.
For multi-select custom fields, you can set the filter logic to either "AND" (must match all selected values) or "OR" (must match any selected value).
    Click "Apply" to view your filtered results.
    Review the filtered appointment list that matches your criteria.
    Clear filters by clicking the "Clear" button or removing individual filter selections.
    Save your filter for future use by clicking "Save Filter" if this option is available in your account.
Saved filters appear in a dropdown menu for quick access when you return to the Appointments section.
    Export your filtered results by clicking the "Export" button in the upper right corner if you need an offline copy.

Troubleshooting

If your search returns no results:
  • Check for typos in your search terms
  • Try using fewer filters at once to broaden your search
  • Verify that appointments exist within the date range you've specified
  • Ensure you have permission to view the appointments you're searching for
