How to search for specific companies

The Companies feature in Cadence provides a central hub for managing company profiles, appointments, and communication settings. When you need to quickly locate specific companies in your event, the search functionality allows you to find them by name, description, or other criteria without having to scroll through the entire list.

When to use

  • When looking for a specific company among many in your event
  • When filtering companies by group or category
  • When you need to find companies with specific characteristics
  • When managing multiple company profiles efficiently

Before you start

You must have System Administrator, Event Manager, or standard user permissions to access the Companies search functionality. Some search capabilities may be limited based on your permission level.

How to do it

    Log in to your Cadence account.
    Navigate to your event dashboard.
    Click on "Companies" in the left sidebar menu.
If you don't see the Companies option in your menu, an administrator may need to enable it in Event Setup → Menu.
    Locate the search bar at the top of the Companies page.
    Click in the search field and enter your search term.
You can search by company name, description, or other text fields associated with company profiles.
    Press Enter or click the search icon to execute your search.
    Review the filtered results showing only companies matching your search criteria.
    Click the "Refine" button next to the search field to access advanced filtering options.
    Select additional filter criteria such as:
  • Company groups
  • Appointment availability
  • Messaging capabilities
    Click "Apply" to update your search results with the combined filters.
    Clear filters by clicking "Clear All" or the "X" next to individual filters.
    Toggle between List View and Grid View using the view selector in the upper right corner to change how search results are displayed.
List View is better for seeing more details at once, while Grid View provides a more visual representation with company logos.

Troubleshooting

If your search returns no results:
  • Check for typos in your search term
  • Try using partial terms instead of complete words
  • Verify that companies have been added to your event
  • Ensure you have permission to view all companies in the event
