Configure Default Collection Settings for New Events

The Account-level Collection settings in Cadence allow you to establish default configurations that will automatically apply to all newly created events in your account. From the Collections Menu › Settings area, you can control visibility options, display preferences, and other configuration settings that affect how collections function across your organization's events.

Before you start

You must have System Administrator permissions to configure default Collection settings at the account level.

How to do it

Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
Navigate to the Account administration page.
Select your Account from the available options if you manage multiple accounts.
Click on the "Save" tab in the top navigation menu.
Select the "Collections" tab from the secondary navigation.
Configure the "Recently Viewed" display by checking or unchecking "Disable display of 'Recently Viewed'".
Disabling the Recently Viewed section creates a cleaner interface and prevents attendees from seeing what others have been viewing.
Consider your organization's privacy needs when deciding whether to show Recently Viewed content.
Once disabled, the Recently Viewed section will be hidden for all attendees in all new events created under this account.
Click "Save" to apply your default Collection settings.
Verify your settings by creating a test event and checking that your Collection settings have been applied correctly.

Troubleshooting

If your default settings aren't applying to new events:
  • Verify you have System Administrator permissions
  • Confirm you clicked "Save" after making changes
  • Check that you're creating events under the same account where you configured the defaults
