How Attendees Can Unregister for Events

How Attendees Can Unregister for Events

Important Notes
  • The Unregister feature must be enabled by an admin or event manager
  • If attendees do not see the option, self-unregistration is not enabled for that event
Benefits:
  • Gives attendees control over their registration
  • Helps organizers manage capacity accurately
  • Reduces manual work for event management

Ways Attendees Can Unregister
Attendees can unregister depending on how they access the event:
Option 1: Via Web
  • Go to the Registration Page on the web platform
  • Refresh the page after registering
  • Click Unregister from Event below the Access Event button
Warning Best for attendees who change their mind shortly after registering or revisit the registration page later
Option 2: Via Registration Confirmation Email
  • The Registration Confirmation Email must be configured before the page goes live
  • Add the Unregister URL attribute in the email body
Pro Tip: Include clear instructions so attendees know that clicking the link allows them to unregister
Option 3: Via Mobile App
Attendees can unregister through the app in multiple ways:
From Profile Page
  • Tap the Menu → your name → three-dot menu → Unregister
From Events List
  • Menu → View Events → select event → Unregister
From Support or Settings
  • Menu → Support or Settings → scroll to Unregister
Warning All navigation paths are also available on the web platform

Confirmation Process
When Unregister is clicked:
  • A confirmation pop-up appears to prevent accidental unregistration
If confirmed:
  • Event registration is canceled
  • Spot is released for another attendee
  • Any registered schedule items are removed
  • A success message appears: “You have successfully unregistered from this event.”

Warning Important
  • The confirmation step is mandatory to prevent accidental unregistering

Best Practices
  • Enable self-unregistration to reduce manual capacity management
  • Ensure Registration Confirmation Emails include the unregister link if needed
  • Monitor attendee movement to keep capacity data accurate
