How to save speaker settings and changes

Save Speaker Settings and Changes

The Speakers feature in Cadence allows you to control how presenters are displayed throughout your event platform. From the Speakers Menu › Settings area, you can configure display preferences such as sorting order and then save these changes to ensure they take effect across your event interfaces for all attendees.

When to use

  • After modifying speaker display settings
  • When changing from alphabetical to custom sorting order
  • When finalizing speaker configuration before publishing your event
  • When updating existing speaker settings
You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to save speaker settings. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).

How to do it

    Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
    Navigate to your event dashboard.
    Click on "Speakers" in the left sidebar menu.
If you don't see the Speakers option, you may need to enable it first through Event Setup › Menu.
    Select the "Settings" tab at the top of the Speakers page.
    Choose your preferred sorting method from the "Sort By" dropdown:
  • "A-Z (Last Name)" for alphabetical sorting
  • "Custom order" to manually arrange speakers
    Review your settings to ensure they match your event requirements.
Changing from custom order to alphabetical sorting will override any manual speaker arrangement you've created.
    Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
The button will briefly change to "Saved" to confirm your changes were applied successfully.
    Wait for the page to refresh, confirming your settings have been saved.
    Return to the main Speakers list to verify your changes have taken effect.
    Test the sorting order by checking how speakers appear in the attendee view.

Troubleshooting

If the Save button doesn't respond or your changes aren't being applied, try refreshing the page and making your changes again. If sorting changes don't appear in the mobile app, ensure attendees are using the latest version of the Cadence app (v2.7.387 for iOS or v2.7.404 for Android) and try refreshing the event data.
