When sharing important information with all attendees
Before you start
You must have Event Manager or System Administrator permissions to customize the Personal Message label at the event level. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).
How to do it
Navigate to the Appointments section in your Cadence dashboard.
Select an existing appointment or create a new one.
Locate the Personal Message field in the appointment form.
The Personal Message field is typically located below the appointment details section and above the attendee list.
Enter your message in the text field.
The Personal Message supports formatting options including line breaks, which will be preserved in email invitations.
Format your text using the available formatting tools if needed.
Use bullet points or numbered lists to make instructions more scannable for recipients.
Review your message for clarity and completeness.
Personal Messages are visible to all appointment attendees, so avoid including sensitive or confidential information.
Click "Save" to update the appointment with your personal message.
If "Send Updates & Reminders" is enabled, attendees will receive an email with the updated personal message.
Troubleshooting
If your personal message formatting doesn't appear correctly in calendar invites:
Avoid complex formatting like tables or embedded images
Keep messages concise as some email clients may truncate longer messages
Test with a sample appointment to verify how formatting appears in different email clients
