How to customize the Track label for schedule items

Customize the Track Label for Schedule Items

The Schedule Labels section in Cadence allows you to customize key terminology used throughout your event's schedule interface. Located in the Schedule Menu › Labels area, this feature helps create a more intuitive experience for attendees by using terminology that matches your organization's preferred language or event type.

When to use

  • When your organization uses specific terminology for categorizing sessions
  • When creating industry-specific events with unique track classifications
  • When standardizing terminology across multiple events for consistency
  • When localizing your event for different regions or languages
You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to modify schedule labels. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).

How to do it

    Log in to your Cadence account.
    Navigate to your event dashboard.
    Click on "Schedule" in the left sidebar menu.
    Select "Labels" from the submenu that appears.
    Toggle the switch next to "Override Track label" to enable customization.
Common alternatives for "Track" include "Stream," "Path," "Category," or "Theme."
    Enter your preferred terminology in the text field that appears.
    Click "Save" to apply your changes.
Custom labels will appear on web and mobile apps but will continue to show the original "Track" label in the admin interface.

Troubleshooting

If your custom labels aren't appearing in the mobile app, ensure you're using the latest version of the Cadence app (v2.7.387 for iOS or v2.7.387 for Android) and try refreshing your event data.
