Coordinate Label Customization with Other Event Features

The Schedule Labels section in Cadence allows you to create a consistent terminology experience across your entire event. By coordinating your custom labels in the Schedule Menu › Labels area with other event features, you can ensure attendees encounter the same terminology throughout all touchpoints, creating a more cohesive and professional experience.

Before you start

You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to modify schedule labels. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).

How to do it

    Log in to your Cadence account.
    Navigate to your event dashboard.
    Click on "Schedule" in the left sidebar menu.
    Select "Labels" from the submenu that appears.
    Document all custom labels you plan to use across your event.
Create a terminology reference document listing standard terms for your event before making changes.
    Toggle the switches for the labels you want to customize (Track, Location, Speaker).
    Enter your preferred terminology in each enabled field.
Custom labels will appear on web and mobile apps but will continue to show the original labels in the admin interface.
    Click "Save" to apply your schedule label changes.
    Navigate to "Appointments" → "Settings" in the left sidebar menu.
    Toggle "Override appointment labels for this event" to enable customization.
    Align appointment labels with your schedule labels where applicable.
Inconsistent terminology between features can confuse attendees and create a disjointed experience.
    Navigate to "People" → "Event Check-In" → "Settings" to customize attendee labels.
    Toggle "Override check-in labels for this event" to enable customization.
    Enter consistent terminology that aligns with your schedule labels.
    Preview your event to verify label consistency across all features.
    Test the experience on both web and mobile platforms.

Troubleshooting

If your custom labels aren't appearing in the mobile app, ensure you're using the latest version of the Cadence app (v2.7.387 for iOS or v2.7.404 for Android) and try refreshing your event data.
