When working with Registration settings in Cadence, you may occasionally encounter warning messages about unsaved changes when navigating away from the page, even after clicking Save. This article explains how to identify and resolve these issues to ensure your registration form changes are properly saved.
When to use
When you receive "unsaved changes" warnings after saving registration settings
When registration form changes don't appear to save properly
When you need to navigate between tabs without losing your work
Before you start
You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to modify registration settings.
How to do it
Verify your changes are complete before attempting to save.
Click the Save button at the bottom of the registration form page.
Wait for confirmation that your changes have been saved successfully.
Look for a green success message or the button changing to "Saved" to confirm your changes were processed.
Refresh the page after saving if you plan to make additional edits.
Skipping this step may cause the system to incorrectly detect unsaved changes when you navigate away.
Clear your browser cache if you continue to receive unsaved changes warnings.
Check for incomplete fields if the save button appears inactive.
Required fields must be completed before the system will allow you to save changes.
Review dropdown selections to ensure they're properly registered by the system.
Sometimes a dropdown may appear selected visually but not register in the system. Try reselecting the option.
Save again before navigating to a different tab or page.
Troubleshooting
If you continue to receive unsaved changes warnings:
Try using a different web browser
Ensure you're not editing a field when clicking Save
Contact support if the issue persists across multiple events
