Adding speakers to your Cadence event allows you to showcase presenters with detailed profiles that help attendees learn about them and their sessions. From the Speakers Menu, you can create comprehensive speaker profiles with biographical information, contact details, and session assignments that will appear throughout your event platform.
When to use
When adding presenters to your event
When you need to create detailed speaker profiles
When connecting speakers to schedule items
When showcasing speaker expertise to attendees
Before you start
You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to add speakers to your event. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
Navigate to your event dashboard.
Click on "Speakers" in the left sidebar menu.
If you don't see the Speakers option, you may need to enable it first through Event Setup › Menu.
Click the "+" button to add a new speaker.
Choose whether to create a new speaker or select from existing profiles:
"Create Speaker" for a completely new profile
"Select from Speakers, Attendees or Customers" to use existing data
Enter the speaker's basic information:
First Name*
Last Name*
Email
Title
Company
Add a professional biography in the description field.
Upload a profile image by clicking the image placeholder.
For best results, use a square image (1:1 aspect ratio) with minimum dimensions of 220x220px.
Include social media links if available (LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.).
Add the speaker to relevant schedule items by clicking "Add Schedule Item."
Upload speaker materials or resources if needed.
Click "Save" to create the speaker profile.
Speakers added to schedule items are automatically added to your speakers list, but you must manually link them to user profiles if you want them to edit their own information.
Troubleshooting
If you're unable to add a speaker, verify that you have the correct permissions and that the Speakers feature is enabled for your event. If duplicate speaker profiles appear, this may occur when speakers are added both manually and through schedule items.
