The Appointments Menu in Cadence allows you to customize the terminology used throughout your appointment interfaces by changing default labels for fields like "Objectives." Located in the Appointments Menu › Settings section, these customizations help create a more intuitive experience by using terminology that matches your organization's preferred language.
When to use
When your organization uses specific terminology for meeting goals or purposes
When creating industry-specific events with unique objective classifications
When standardizing terminology across multiple events for consistency
When localizing your event for different regions or languages
Before you start
You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to customize appointment labels. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence account.
Navigate to your event dashboard.
Click on "Appointments" in the left sidebar menu.
Select "Settings" from the submenu that appears.
Toggle "Override appointment labels for this event" to enable customization.
This setting must be enabled before you can modify the default labels.
Locate the "Objectives label" field.
Enter your preferred label for "Objectives" in the corresponding field.
Common alternatives include "Goals," "Purposes," "Meeting Aims," or "Discussion Objectives."
Click "Save" to apply your changes.
Custom labels will appear on web and mobile apps but may not change labels in all admin interface sections.
Troubleshooting
If your custom labels aren't appearing in the mobile app, ensure you're using the latest version of the Cadence app (v2.7.387 for iOS or v2.7.387 for Android) and try refreshing your event data.
