Creating a basic appointment in Cadence allows you to schedule meetings with attendees and manage all the essential details in one place. From the Appointments menu, you can quickly set up meetings with specific dates, times, locations, and attendees while tracking their status throughout your event.

Before you start
You must have System Administrator, Event Manager, or Event Scheduler permissions to create appointments. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).
How to do it
Navigate to the Appointments section in your event dashboard.
Click the "Add" button in the top-right corner of the screen.
Enter a name for your appointment in the "Appointment Name" field.
Use descriptive names that include the purpose or key attendees to make appointments easier to identify later.
Select a date and time for your appointment using the date picker and time dropdown menus.
Choose a duration for your appointment from the dropdown options.
Select a location by choosing from available rooms or entering a custom location.
If selecting a room, verify its availability for your chosen time slot to avoid conflicts.
Add attendees by typing names or email addresses in the "People" field.
You can add both internal team members and external customers as attendees.
Set the appointment status to "Proposed," "Pending," or "Confirmed" based on your current scheduling stage.
Toggle "Send Emails" on if you want attendees to receive email invitations.
Review the email preview if sending emails and make any necessary adjustments.
Click "Save" to create your appointment.
If you enabled "Send Emails," invitations will be sent immediately after saving.
Troubleshooting
If you cannot save your appointment, check that all required fields are completed and that the appointment date is not in the past. For appointments with rooms, ensure there are no scheduling conflicts with the selected location.
