How to Create Notifications Using an Import File

This document explains how to bulk create and schedule notifications in Event Cadence using the Import File template, making it easier to manage large volumes of notifications.  

1. Import File Setup 
    Go to Admin → Notifications feature. 
    Click Import/Export → Import → Template. 
    Download the Excel template. 
    Fill in the fields: 
  • Columns indicate required vs optional fields. 
  • Save the file. 
 2. Import Notifications 
    Go to Import/Export → Import. 
    Select your completed file. 
    Upload. 
    The system will: 
  • Confirm successful imports. 
  • Identify errors and list affected fields. 
  • Allow re-upload of corrected notifications. 
WarningTip: Re-upload the corrected file instead of starting from a new template to avoid duplicates. 
 3. Bonus: Notification Options Within Notifications → Options Tab, you can enable automatic notifications: 
  • Schedule Reminders → Sends a reminder 5 min before a session in My Agenda. 
  • Live Feed → Notifies attendees when someone posts on the feed. 
  • Messaging Channels → Notifies attendees of activity in public channels. 
  • Private channel interactions always trigger notifications. 
Notifications can only be created by Event Managers or Admins in the Admin site. Use this feature to ensure timely, automated, and targeted communications during your event.
