The guest check-in feature in Cadence allows you to track attendance for both primary attendees and their accompanying guests. When enabled, this functionality lets you check in the main attendee and their guests individually or together, providing accurate attendance records for all participants at your event.

When managing events that allow attendees to bring guests
When tracking attendance for both primary attendees and their companions
When generating comprehensive attendance reports that include guest participation
When managing badge printing or meal counts that need to include guests
Before you start
You must have Admin, Event Manager, or Event Scheduler permissions to enable guest check-in functionality.
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence account.
Navigate to your event dashboard.
Select "People" from the left sidebar menu.
Click "Event Check-In" in the submenu.
If you don't see the Event Check-In option, check that the feature is enabled for your event.
Select the "Settings" tab at the top of the page.
Toggle "Enable Attendee Check-In" to turn on the feature if not already enabled.
Select your preferred check-in type from the dropdown:
Overall Event Check-In (attendees check in once for the entire event)
Check-In Per Event Day (attendees must check in for each day)
Toggle "Enable Guest Check-In" to activate the guest check-in functionality.
This option allows attendees to bring guests who can also be checked in through the system.
Consider enabling "Override check-in labels for this event" if you want to customize attendee type labels.
Enter your preferred labels for "Internal Attendee" and "Customer" if you enabled custom labels.
Click "Save" to apply your settings.
Changing check-in settings after attendees have already been checked in may affect your attendance reporting.
Troubleshooting
If guest check-in options aren't appearing in the mobile app, ensure you're using the latest version of the Cadence app and try refreshing your event data.
