How to preview your Live Feed setup before going live
The Live Feed preview feature allows you to test your feed configuration before making it visible to attendees. By previewing your setup, you can ensure that participation settings, moderation options, and feed structure work as intended, helping you avoid configuration issues during your live event.
When to use
Before finalizing your Live Feed settings for a new event
After changing participation or moderation settings
When implementing multiple topic-specific feeds
Before enabling social media integration
Only users with Event Manager or Administrator permissions can access Live Feed preview functionality.
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence admin dashboard.
Navigate to your event management page.
Select Live Feed from the left navigation menu.
Click the Settings tab at the top of the page.
Configure your feed structure by selecting either Single Feed or Multiple Feed.
Multiple feeds are useful for larger events where you want to organize conversations by topic, session, or department.
Set participation options by checking or unchecking:
"Disable Audience Participation (Main Feed)" to control who can post
"Enable Post Approval (Main Feed)" to moderate content before it appears
If you enable post approval, ensure you have team members assigned to review and approve posts promptly during the event.
Click the Preview button in the upper right corner of the settings page.
Test posting as different user types to verify your settings work as expected.
Return to Settings and make any necessary adjustments.
Click Save to apply your final configuration.
Troubleshooting
If your preview doesn't reflect your settings changes, try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache.
