Reset Custom Labels Back to System Defaults

The Schedule Labels section in Cadence allows you to customize key terminology used throughout your event's schedule interface. If you've previously customized labels for Track, Location, or Speaker fields and need to revert to the system defaults, you can easily reset these customizations through the Schedule Menu › Labels area.

When to use

  • When you want to standardize terminology across multiple events
  • When custom labels are no longer relevant to your event
  • When preparing to implement new labeling conventions
  • When troubleshooting display issues related to custom labels

Before you start

You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to modify schedule labels.

How to do it

Log in to your Cadence account.
    Navigate to your event dashboard.
Click on "Schedule" in the left sidebar menu.
Select "Labels" from the submenu that appears.
Locate the custom label you want to reset.
Look for toggle switches that are currently in the "on" position, indicating active custom labels.
Toggle off the switch next to the label you want to reset.
For example, to reset "Keynote Speakers" back to "Speaker," toggle off the "Override Speaker label" switch.
Repeat for any other custom labels you want to reset.
Once you save, the system will immediately revert to using default labels throughout the attendee interface.
Click "Save" to apply your changes.
Verify the changes by navigating to the attendee view of your event's schedule.

Troubleshooting

If default labels aren't appearing in the mobile app after resetting, ensure you're using the latest version of the Cadence app (v2.7.387 for iOS or v2.7.387 for Android) and try refreshing your event data.
