How to Use the Color Picker to Find the Perfect Brand Color
The Color Theme menu in Cadence allows you to customize your event's visual appearance by selecting colors that match your brand identity. When using either the Custom Color or Advanced Colors options, you'll need to use the color picker tool to select the exact colors you want to apply to your event's interface elements across web and mobile platforms.
When to use
When you need to match your event's colors to specific brand guidelines
When you want to select precise colors using hex codes
When you need to experiment with different color options before finalizing
How to do it
Navigate to the Admin site for your event.
Select Event Setup from the main navigation menu.
Click on Color Theme in the left sidebar menu.
Choose either "Custom color" or "Advanced colors" option.
Custom color applies one color to all elements, while Advanced colors lets you set different colors for each feature.
Click on a color box to open the color picker.
Select a color using one of these methods:
Drag the vertical slider to choose a color hue
Click within the color field to select the exact shade and saturation
Enter a specific hex code (e.g., #FF5733) in the input field at the bottom
Review your selection in the preview area.
For brand consistency, use the hex code from your brand guidelines rather than trying to match colors visually.
Click "OK" to confirm your color selection.
If using Advanced Colors, repeat steps 5-8 for each feature you want to customize.
Click "Apply Color to All" if you want to apply the currently selected color to all features.
This will override any individual feature colors you've set in Advanced Colors mode.
Click "Save" to apply your color selections to your event.
Visit your event's user-facing website to verify the colors appear as expected.
Troubleshooting
If custom menu items don't display your selected color theme correctly, verify that you've clicked "Save" after making your color selections. Some custom menu items may require additional configuration to properly display custom colors.
