How to enable the Registration Form for your event

Enable Schedule Registration During Event Registration

The Schedule Registration feature in Cadence allows attendees to select schedule items while completing their event registration. Through the Registration Menu › Schedule section, you can enable this feature and set minimum and maximum selection requirements, streamlining the registration process and helping you plan for session attendance.

When to use

  • When you want attendees to select sessions during event registration
  • When organizing events with multiple sessions that require advance registration
  • When you need to track and manage session attendance
  • When streamlining the registration process by combining event and session registration

Before you start

You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to modify registration settings.

How to do it

    Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
    Navigate to your event dashboard.
    Click on "People" in the left sidebar menu.
    Select "Registration" from the submenu that appears.
    Click on the "Schedule" tab at the top of the page.
    Toggle "Allow Schedule Selection During Event Registration" to enable this feature.
Disabling this setting will remove the schedule selection option from your event's registration process.
    Check the "Minimum Selections" box if you want to require attendees to select a minimum number of schedule items.
    Enter the minimum number of required selections in the field that appears.
Setting a minimum ensures attendees engage with at least some content, but keep requirements reasonable to avoid registration abandonment.
    Check the "Maximum Selections" box if you want to limit how many schedule items attendees can select.
    Enter the maximum number of allowed selections in the field that appears.
Leave this field blank if you want to allow unlimited selections.
    Click "Save" to apply your changes.

Troubleshooting

If schedule items aren't appearing for selection during registration, verify that the schedule items have registration enabled in their individual settings under Schedule → Options → "Enable Registration and waitlist".
