Transitioning from Single Feed to Multiple Feed mode
The Live Feed feature in Cadence allows you to switch from a single conversation stream to multiple topic-specific feeds. By accessing the Live Feed Menu › Settings section, you can reconfigure your event's social interaction structure to create separate feeds for different topics, departments, or user groups, providing a more organized experience for your attendees.
When to use
When your event has grown to need topic-specific conversation spaces
When you want to organize discussions by department or interest area
When compliance requires certain content to be visible only to specific teams
When creating specialized feeds for different regions or markets
Before you start
You must have Event Manager or Administrator permissions to modify Live Feed settings.
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence admin dashboard.
Navigate to your event management page.
Select Live Feed from the left navigation menu.
Click the Settings tab at the top of the page.
Locate the feed structure options in the settings panel.
Select "Multiple Feed" instead of "Single Feed" to enable multiple conversation streams.
Changing from Single Feed to Multiple Feed mode will not automatically create additional feeds. You'll need to create them separately after saving this setting.
Review your other settings such as audience participation and post approval options.
Click Save to apply your new feed structure.
Navigate to the "Feed" tab that appears after enabling Multiple Feed mode.
Click the "+" button to create your first additional feed.
Enter a name for your feed that clearly describes its purpose or audience.
Use concise, descriptive names that help attendees understand the feed's content focus (e.g., "Product Announcements," "Medical Insights," "Technical Support").
Configure visibility settings for the feed if needed.
Click Save to create the new feed.
Repeat steps 10-13 to create additional feeds as needed.
Verify your feeds appear correctly in the menu by previewing your event.
Troubleshooting
If your feeds aren't appearing after transitioning to Multiple Feed mode, ensure you've saved your settings changes and created at least one additional feed through the Feed tab.
