How to link speakers to their presentations and materials

Link Speakers to Their Presentations and Materials

The Speakers feature in Cadence allows you to connect presenter profiles with their presentation materials and resources. From the Speakers Menu › Settings area, you can add various content types to speaker profiles, making it easy for attendees to access presentation slides, handouts, and supplementary materials directly from speaker profiles throughout your event platform.

When to use

  • When sharing speaker presentation materials with attendees
  • When providing supplementary resources related to speaker sessions
  • When creating comprehensive speaker profiles with supporting content
  • When organizing session materials by presenter

Before you start

You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to link materials to speaker profiles. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).

How to do it

    Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
    Navigate to your event dashboard.
    Click on "Speakers" in the left sidebar menu.
If you don't see the Speakers option, you may need to enable it first through Event Setup › Menu.
    Locate the speaker whose profile you want to enhance with materials.
    Click on the speaker's name to open their profile.
    Navigate to the "Materials" tab within the speaker profile.
    Click the "+" button to add a new resource.
    Select the resource type from the dropdown menu:
  • Presentation (PPT/PPTX)
  • PDF
  • Document (DOC/DOCX)
  • Video (MP4)
  • Website
    Enter a descriptive name for the resource.
Choose a clear name that indicates what the resource contains, such as "Keynote Presentation" or "Research Paper."
    Upload your file or enter the website URL depending on the resource type selected.
    Add a brief description explaining the content and relevance of the material.
    Set visibility options if you want to restrict access to specific attendee groups.
Large files may take longer to upload and could affect loading times for attendees viewing speaker profiles.
    Click "Save" to add the resource to the speaker profile.
    Verify that the material appears correctly on the speaker's public profile.
    Repeat steps 7-14 to add additional resources as needed.

Troubleshooting

If materials aren't appearing on the speaker's profile, check that:
  • The file format is supported (PDF, PPTX, DOCX, MP4)
  • The file size doesn't exceed system limits
  • You've clicked "Save" after adding each resource
