The Organizer is the primary person responsible for an appointment in Cadence. When creating or editing an appointment, you'll need to assign an organizer who will be the main point of contact for the meeting and will appear prominently in all communications. The organizer can be changed at any time before or after the appointment is created.
When to use
When creating a new appointment
When reassigning responsibility for an existing appointment
When the original organizer is no longer available
When multiple team members are involved but one needs to be the primary contact
Before you start
You must have System Administrator, Event Manager, or Event Scheduler permissions to assign an organizer. The Organizer field is required and must be completed before saving an appointment.
How to do it
Navigate to your event dashboard in Cadence.
Click on "Appointments" in the left sidebar menu.
Select "New Appointment" to create a new appointment or click on an existing appointment to edit it.
Locate the Organizer field near the top of the appointment form.
The Organizer field may be labeled differently if your event has custom labels configured in Appointments Settings.
Click in the Organizer field to open the selection dropdown.
Search for the person you want to assign as organizer by typing their name or email.
Select the appropriate person from the search results.
Only internal attendees (people from your organization) can be assigned as organizers.
Verify that the selected organizer appears in the field.
If "Auto Add Organizer" is enabled in your event settings, the organizer will automatically be added to the People field as a required attendee.
Complete the remaining appointment details.
Click "Save" to confirm the organizer assignment and create or update the appointment.
Troubleshooting
If you cannot find the person you want to assign as organizer:
Verify they have been added to the event as an internal attendee
Check that they have the appropriate permissions to be an organizer
Contact your System Administrator if you need to add a new user to the system
