How to access and navigate the Home settings

The Home settings in Cadence allow you to customize how your event's Home page appears to attendees, including layout options, visual elements, and interactive features. By configuring these settings properly, you can create an engaging landing page that highlights the most important aspects of your event while maintaining your brand identity.

When to use

  • When setting up a new event's Home page
  • When you want to change the layout of Home tiles
  • When you need to adjust visual elements like opacity or overlays
  • When configuring interactive features like countdown timers

How to do it

Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
    Navigate to your event dashboard.
Click on "Home" in the left sidebar menu.
Select the "Settings" tab at the top of the page.
Configure layout options for web display:
  • Choose a column layout from the "Columns (Web Only)" dropdown
  • Select an alignment option from the "Alignment (Web Only)" dropdown
Layout changes only affect the web version of your event, not the mobile app.
Adjust visual elements according to your preferences:
  • Check "Remove Home Tile Overlay" to remove the gray overlay on tiles
  • Check "Display Scroll bar on Home Tiles" to improve navigation
Removing the tile overlay may affect readability if your tile images have varying colors or contrast.
Set up the countdown timer if desired:
  • Check "Enable Countdown Timer"
  • Select either "use event start date" or "use custom date time"
Manage header display by checking "Hide event name, date & location display" if you prefer a cleaner look.
Enable Live Video Tile to automatically display Symphony live streams on the Home page.
This feature works best when you have Symphony configured with embedded content, video material, or an RTMP stream.
Adjust background opacity for the web Home screen:
  • Check "Gradient Slider Adjust Home Screen Opacity"
  • Use the slider to set the opacity percentage (default is 15%)
Click "Save" at the bottom of the page to apply your changes.

Troubleshooting

If your Home page layout doesn't appear as expected after saving, try refreshing your browser cache or viewing the page in an incognito/private browsing window to see the changes.
