How to preview your Registration Form before publishing

Preview Your Registration Form Before Publishing

The Registration Form preview feature in Cadence allows you to see exactly how your form will appear to attendees before making it live. Through the Registration Menu › Schedule section, you can test the schedule selection experience, verify minimum and maximum selection requirements, and ensure the registration process flows smoothly without affecting your actual registration data.

When to use

  • Before finalizing a new registration form with schedule selection
  • After making changes to schedule selection requirements
  • When testing minimum and maximum selection limits
  • Before sending registration links to attendees
You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to access the preview functionality.

How to do it

    Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
    Navigate to your event dashboard.
    Click on "People" in the left sidebar menu.
    Select "Registration" from the submenu that appears.
If you don't see the Registration option, you may need to enable it first in your event settings.
    Click on the "Schedule" tab at the top of the page.
    Ensure "Allow Schedule Selection During Event Registration" is toggled on.
If this toggle is off, schedule selection will not be included in the registration process or preview.
    Configure your minimum and maximum selection requirements if needed.
    Click "Save" to apply any changes to your settings.
    Click the "Preview" button located in the top-right corner of the page.
The preview opens in a new tab, allowing you to keep the settings page open for quick adjustments.
    Test the schedule selection process by selecting various schedule items.
    Verify that minimum selection requirements are enforced when attempting to proceed.
    Check that maximum selection limits prevent additional selections when reached.
    Return to the settings tab to make any necessary adjustments.
    Repeat steps 9-13 until you're satisfied with the schedule selection experience.
    Click "Save" again if you've made additional changes.

Troubleshooting

If schedule items aren't appearing in your preview:
  • Verify that schedule items have been created for your event
  • Check that schedule items are set to "Visible" in their settings
  • Ensure the schedule items fall within your event dates
