Hide Event Location from the Registration Page
The Registration Settings in Cadence allow you to control whether your event's location appears on the registration page. This feature is particularly useful for virtual events, events with non-precise locations, or hybrid events where you want to emphasize the virtual experience.
When to use
For virtual events where a physical location isn't relevant
For events with non-precise locations (e.g., "United States")
For hybrid events where you want to focus on the virtual experience
When you need to simplify the registration page layout
This setting only affects the display of location information on the registration page. The location will still be stored in your event settings.
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
Navigate to your event dashboard.
Click on "People" in the left sidebar menu.
Select "Registration" from the submenu that appears.
Click on the "Settings" tab at the top of the page.
Locate the "Hide Event Location" checkbox in the settings panel.
Check the box to hide the location from your registration page.
When this option is enabled, the map, location header, and location name/address will all be removed from the registration page.
Review how this change will affect your registration page layout.
Click "Save" at the bottom of the page to apply your changes.
Troubleshooting
If your location is still appearing on the registration page after enabling this setting, try clearing your browser cache or viewing the page in an incognito/private browsing window to ensure you're seeing the most current version.
