Resources attached to appointments in Cadence allow you to share important files with meeting attendees, but sometimes you may encounter problems when uploading, viewing, or sharing these files. This guide will help you troubleshoot and resolve common issues with appointment resources in the Appointments section of your event.
When to use
When resources fail to upload to appointments
When attendees cannot access or view attached resources
When resource files don't appear in calendar invitations
When you need to replace corrupted or incorrect resource files
Before you start
You must have System Administrator, Event Manager, Event Scheduler, or Appointment Organizer permissions to manage resources on appointments.
How to do it
Navigate to the Appointments section in your Cadence dashboard.
Select the appointment with the problematic resource.
Scroll down to the Resources section on the appointment details page.
Check the file format of any problematic resources.
Cadence supports PDF, Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets, and image files.
Verify the file size of your resources.
Files larger than 10MB may cause upload failures or delivery issues when sent with invitations.
Remove corrupted resources by clicking the trash icon next to the resource name.
Upload a new version of the resource by clicking "Add Resource."
Select the file from your computer or enter a URL for web resources.
Add a descriptive name for the resource to help attendees identify it.
Toggle "Send Material With Invite" if you want the resource included in calendar invitations.
For large files, consider disabling this option and letting attendees access the resources through the platform instead.
Select who should receive the material if you've enabled sending with invites.
Click "Save" to apply your changes to the appointment.
Troubleshooting
If resources still don't appear or cannot be accessed:
Ensure your browser allows file downloads from the Cadence platform
Try converting files to PDF format, which has the best compatibility across devices
For mobile users experiencing issues, direct them to use the Cadence mobile app which supports all resource types including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel files
