How to verify integration status and functionality

The Integrations menu in Cadence allows you to check the connection status and functionality of third-party services linked to your event. Regularly verifying these integrations ensures your event runs smoothly and helps troubleshoot issues before they impact attendees. From the Integrations section (Events > [Event Name] > Integrations), you can test connections and confirm that data is flowing correctly between systems.

When to use

  • When setting up a new integration to confirm it's working properly
  • Before an event goes live to verify all connected systems are functioning
  • When troubleshooting issues with data synchronization between platforms
  • After making changes to integration settings to ensure they took effect
You must have Admin or Event Manager permissions to access and verify integration statuses.

How to do it

Navigate to your event's admin dashboard.
Select "Integrations" from the left sidebar menu.
Locate the integration you want to verify in the list of available integrations.
Check the status indicator next to each integration.
Green indicators typically show active and functioning integrations, while red or yellow may indicate issues requiring attention.
Click the "Test Connection" button if available for your integration type.
Review the connection test results that appear on screen.
For Free/Busy calendar integrations, you'll see details about the authenticated user and connection status.
Verify data flow by checking a sample record if applicable.
Examine any error messages or warnings that appear during testing.
Reconnect the integration if necessary by clicking the provided reconnection link.
Some integrations may require you to re-authenticate with the third-party service if the connection has expired.
Save any changes you've made to integration settings.
Test the integration functionality from an end-user perspective.
Document any recurring issues for future reference.

Troubleshooting

If integration verification fails, check that API keys are valid, third-party services are operational, and your account has the necessary permissions. For persistent connection issues, try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration or contact your system administrator.
