Creating Topic-Specific Feeds Using the Multiple Feed Option
The Multiple Feed option in Cadence allows you to create separate topic-specific feeds to organize conversations by department, interest area, or any other category. This helps attendees find relevant discussions more easily and enables you to apply different visibility settings to each feed. From the Live Feed Menu › Settings section, you can configure these specialized feeds to enhance your event's social experience.
Before you start
You must have Event Manager or Administrator permissions to create and configure multiple feeds.
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence admin dashboard.
Navigate to your event management page.
Select Live Feed from the left navigation menu.
Click the Settings tab at the top of the page.
Select "Multiple Feed" as your feed structure option.
Multiple Feed mode is required to create topic-specific feeds with different visibility settings.
Click Save to apply the Multiple Feed setting.
Navigate to the "Feed" tab in the Live Feed section.
Click the "+" button to create a new feed.
Enter a descriptive name for your feed that clearly indicates its topic or purpose.
Use concise, descriptive names that help attendees understand the feed's content focus (e.g., "Product Announcements," "Medical Insights," "Technical Support").
Configure visibility settings for the feed if needed.
If you limit visibility for a feed, ensure the right groups have access. For example, compliance-sensitive content may need restricted visibility to specific departments.
Select whether to enable post approval for this specific feed.
Choose whether to disable audience participation for this feed.
Click Save to create the new feed.
Repeat steps 8-13 to create additional topic-specific feeds as needed.
Verify your feeds appear correctly in the menu by previewing your event.
Troubleshooting
If your newly created feeds don't appear in the menu, ensure you've saved your settings and refresh your browser. If feeds are still not visible, check that you've properly configured the visibility settings for the user groups that should have access.
